Finally! After an aborted attempt and much waiting I finally got to ski Wedge. I headed up with Scott and a contingent of VOCers – Pitor, Christian and Line. Although we didn’t get a hard freeze Saturday night, the couloir was still in excellent ski conditions.
Day 1 – Approach
Ascending the Wedgemount Lake Trail.
Climbing up onto the glacier.
Trying out the betalight at camp.
Scott ascending the northwest couloir.
Crossing the summit plateau.
Classic: one pole, one ski, one shovel blade.
On the summit.
Scott on the descent of the northwest couloir (wedge couloir).
Heading back to camp.
The Crew: Pitor, Line, Christian, Matt and Nelson
